The Caravan Park is a small, quiet family run site developed within the grounds of Plas Gwyn House. The house was built in 1785 in Georgian style with a colonial style verandah from which Anglesey can be seen.
From the rear of the house and park, Snowdonia can be seen. Plas Gwyn means white house or mansion in the Welsh language and as a point of historical interest Lloyd George was a frequent visitor to Plas Gwyn.
Plas Gwyn has the mountains and lakes of Snowdonia nearby, with the Isle of Anglesey and it's many splendid beaches, within minutes easy motoring distance. The excellent shopping facilities at Bangor and the historic Royal walled town of Caernarfon are within easy access by car or a regular bus service. Nearby, Llanberis boasts the Snowdon Mountain Railway, Padarn Lakeside Railway, Padarn Slate Museum, Craft Workshops. Golf, fishing, canoeing and sailing and horse riding are all available locally.
